Show ranking for buyers!

I am really very sad with the new FIVERR review which is one-sided and unfair. Equal treatment for all!!!

Buyers can do anything and get away with it, their negative reviews never show up …but seller get punished for every deal - even in cases where they are innocent. This has to change otherwise Fiverr will soon lose all great sellers. It´s not fair to degrade your great seller´s OVERALL Rating one step down for each negative feedback but gives no chance or counter measures for them to reverse their negative rating status!!!

This sounds like what some of the eBay sellers are also commenting on. The buyer seems to have all the ‘power’ and ‘seller protection’ is just two words now…means nothing.

Buyers should have a rating system just as sellers do. Sellers should have the ability to refuse service to a buyer who, for example, has not made payments on past purchases, among other issues.

A policy of "buyer-only protection’ will surely drive Fiverr sellers to other sites just at the new eBay policies have lost many sellers to other online sales sites. Not to mention the fact that Fiverr takes a 20% cut whereas eBay+PayPal cuts are less.

Yes! SO MUCH YES!

It’s very unfair currently. Just as a buyer can affect a seller’s rating, seller should also be able to affect buyer’s rating. This encourages communication with the seller if something was not to their liking. I’ve noticed people leave a bad review first, and correct it only after seller takes the initiative and ask them about it.

Not sure if there should be both a seller and buyer rating, or one rating that combines them both.

Some other ideas to make things fair:

  • Show buyer’s rating on the order page
  • Give sellers a deny order button which allows us to not serve scammers (Should not affect ratings)
  • Show buyer’s order history on their profile. Not what gigs they have ordered, but what kind of ratings sellers have left for them.

so even if there was an option to show buyers ranking. what if the buyer had the worse review ever, low ratings and he just orders your gig. What are you going to do? decline the order or actually go through with it hoping he doesnt give you a bad review??

Good idea, but the truth is Fiverr is not going to lose any seller. Where else am I gonna make $500-$1,000 a month? Elance? On Elance they treat you like garbage, you have to fight against 10 other guys for some lousy $10-$50 job, you waste endless time going back and forth. Fiverr is so easy, buyers tell me what they want, I do it, and they rarely demand a revision. Yes, some buyers are a pain in the ass, I had an escort service order 20 headlines, I delivered, and they did a force cancellation on me, didn’t even provide an explanation or ask for a revision. Frankly, I think he just didn’t want to pay $20. However, buyers like that are the exception, so my advice to you is do your job, and worry about the rest later.

100% agreeing… The seller can’t reverse their negative rating status!!! It’s very unfair.

Some buyers gave less-than 5star(eg: 4.5) even, if they like/fully satisfied their delivery, in their view 4.5 is a good rating, but for the sellers side it’s very discouraging once they got many 4.5 stars. In this case the seller can’t reverse their negative rating status even they got a lot 5 star ratings.
