Question

Hi there,

i wanted to confirm that it's possible to add a portrait video in a gig? I know the recommended format is landscape, but is it also possible to add a vertical video?

best,

In this: https://help.fiverr.com/hc/en-us/articles/360010451657-Adding-a-video-to-your-Gig

it says in the Dos "Use "landscape" mode".

You could check with customer support or staff here whether they allow you to add a vertical video even though it recommends to use landscape. If they don't allow it they might deny the gig video when you upload it.

But if you were allowed to add the vertical video and you added it then while it would play, the thumbnail for it would likely be squashed and look the wrong aspect ratio, only correcting when playing it back (because that's how one of my live gallery videos looked after someone ordered a vertical video I think). If it did that (which I think it would) then instead you could put black side bars (or other ones) on the sides and encode it in a landscape format video. But then it might not look as good.
