THIS IS MY FIVERR STORY:

September 2020: Fiverr account created

End November 2020: First GIG placed on Fiverr

December 9, 2020: First order on Fiverr

February 17, 2021: Fiverr Seller Level 1 reached

May 15, 2021: Fiverr Seller Level 2 reached

February 24, 2022: Email from Fiverr with their request to apply for Fiverr Pro

March 15, 2022: Accepted for Fiverr Pro

June 24, 2022: Reached all requirements for Top Rated Seller

May 15, 2023: Approved as a Top Rated Seller

August 26, 2023: First order from a brief

February 15, 2024: New rating system – Level 9

December 30, 2024: 1000 orders completed.

MYTHBUSTERS:

a)   All this is achieved without staying continuously online

I am only online when I am working on my orders. When I'm not working during the day, I use the app to keep an eye on my notifications and inbox.

I am not using the Quick Response function in my inbox (my Avg. Response Time is 1 hour).

b)   I am not using social media.

Although Fiverr recommends it, it seldom leads to results.

You're just advertising for Fiverr for free. That's why Fiverr recommends everyone to use Social Media.

Fiverr is the big winner when you use social media.

c)   I am not promoting gigs.

Since Fiverr made this feature available to almost everyone, its usefulness has decreased significantly.

Many pay for spammers' clicks.

Many barely make any profit from this feature. Some pay more for it than it brings in.

I don't need it because I get a constant flood of orders.

d)   I am not using discounts or coupons.

Why would I discount when I get a constant flood of orders? If I ever decide to discount, I do so by lowering the price of a custom order.

e)   I am not using SEO

I only use the tags function of a gig and my gig title.

f)    My gigs are not perfect:

  • My gig images are not perfect.
  • My gigs do not have the preferred gig size.
  • My gig descriptions are not perfect.
  • I am not using GIG extras. I only use custom orders.
  • I am not using videos. Maybe I will use it in the future. Using videos is not a key factor to success.
  • Normally, I do not show examples in my gigs. I only show 30 examples in my portfolio. Some gigs show examples, but these are added automatically by Fiverr. I am slowly adding READ ME files with explanations about my service to each gig.

WHAT DOES NOT WORK FOR ME:

a)   Fiverr Neo

Buyers contact me very rarely through Neo. Neo does not find me or give wrong information to the buyers so I can not perform the services that Neo proposes.

 b)   Briefs

I have received thousands of briefs, especially in the beginning I received about 20 a day. Now I receive about 5 a week.

Most briefs (99.5%) ask for services that I do not offer.

I received only 2 orders from briefs.

 c)   Professions

This hardly gives me any impressions and clicks. Not a single order was received by a "profession".

SITUATION TODAY

 image.png.1b30bc2cf64c3f88e63bc0aa75bd39cb.png

4 years and 3 weeks after my first order I have reached 1000 delivered orders. That is an average of 250 orders per year. A message for the beggars who spam my inbox: I work alone, I do not need anyone to help me with that. Everyone who begs me for work will be reported.

I still have 28 active orders to complete. About 10 custom offers have been sent to buyers, and they will probably all lead to an order. My schedule for January and February is fully booked. March is filling up.

Still, not a single order was delivered late and that is perfect.

Unfortunately 31 cancelled orders. This number hardly grows because I use the RTO function. Most of them come from my initial period on Fiverr and could have been avoided by RTO. The new cancellations come from buyers who suddenly no longer need my service.

My success score has been at 9 since the start of the new system. I cannot get the score up.

My portfolio will be updated, but this needs time.

REPEAT BUSINESS SCORE

image.png.1f65c3ea51a3e32e5d6b29b2973a24a2.png

I have already received a score of 100 four times. Since Fiverr started this score, I have never had a score lower than 95.

1)   11/27/2022 - 12/17/2022: Score 100 (3 weeks)

2)   6/4/2023 - 6/10/2023: Score 100 (1 week)

3)   6/18/2023 - 6/24/2023: Score 100 (1 week)

4)   7/10/2023 until today 12/30/2024: Score 100  (16 months and counting)

This is great! But one thing I know about you that you are active and helpful in Fiverr Community. I always see your helpful suggestion. Even once you told me to change my bio and adjust some correction.

Wish best of luck! Hope you will generate many more order in future 🙂

Do you mean your gigs aren't using the preferred gig image size?

Your main gig images seem almost the same as the recommended gig image size. eg. one of them is 1280x770 pixels and Fiverr's gig image guidelines currently says "Image size guide- The recommended image size is 1280 x 769 px" so only 1 pixel off in height. A few others seem similar (eg. 1,277px × 768px).

I think as long as any gig image is close enough to the aspect ratio of the gig image size it recommends that's okay since it shouldn't crop much in the profile/results pages.

Indeed.

That is close. I thought there was more difference.

I am not a graphic designer. I made them with MS word, converted the files to pdf and then took a screenshot of it.

Hi @filipdevaere,

Congratulations on your successful journey on Fiverr! If you don't mind, I'd like to ask a few questions to give me some encouragement.

  1. How do you manage your time?
  2. I see you have 28 active orders. How do you manage your work to meet deadlines for multiple orders? For example, if you receive 5-10 orders a day with a delivery time of 5 days. And for each order you have to work 30-40 hours to complete the project. So if you work 8 hours a day, it will take 5 days to complete an order. So how do you deliver other projects on time because the countdown to the delivery deadline starts immediately and the seller has no option to stop the countdown until we complete the order we are working on. I hope you understand what I am trying to ask.

I'd be grateful if you could answer the above questions.
Thanks!

From what I have read on the forum, @filipdevaere, has work scheduled up to or through March.

Thanks!

I am keen to know that also 🙂

Nice job, Filip! You are awesome.

What I'm wondering is how you'd be able to tell whether or not a client found you through Professions. I haven't filled all of that out yet; I started to then realized how time consuming it is, and time is something that I don't have a lot of. I also don't want to waste my time.

You can see when you receive an order from it.

I manage my time with an Excel file. I do indeed have orders for March.

The order list in Fiverr does not give me a good overview.

Because I use the RTO function, no buyer can place an order by himself. I determine the delivery dates. If the buyer's deadline is not feasible according to my planning, no order is created.

Can you please explain what the RTO function is and how we use it?
