Collection/Repayment from buyer

Question

Posted

Hello community members, apologies if this has been asked before but as I couldn't find any similar topic so I created this one.

I specialize in accounts & transactions dispute, arbitration & appeals and consumer protection, offering my service under e-com consultation subcategory. I have been guiding my client in relation to a significant and major claim for reimbursement which is a long time project and working with confidential documents which can't be duplicated, published, distributed or disclosed to public.

So, we are currently focusing on making the defense stronger by gathering undeniable and counter immune evidences to expedite the process and as part of lead generation, I need to make a purchase on behalf of my client to collect relevant documents crucial for influencing a default/final judgement in our favor. I am planning to make the purchase myself and later charge my client for repayment but it's my understanding that, fiverr will deduct 20% and applicable surcharges from there so will it be okay if I add that with the initial amount? Will it be fair &  most importantly, allowed if mutually agreed? I'd be grateful if you could take some time to share input and suggest how to proceed with this in compliance with fiverr policies.

1. Don't make any purchases outside unless buyer has placed the order.

2. Divide the order into MILESTONES, which will ensure that you get paid at every stage.

3. Yes, add Fiverr's 20% to the cost you're going to incur for the purchase. In case you want to be fair, you can adjust this 20% into your service fee which you will be sharing through other milestone(s). But this will go out form your pocket, so its not advisable for you to bear Fiverr's commission.

4. Do NOT leave everything for the end. Many people have done this mistake and lost 1000s of dollars where they buy hardware, services or products on behalf of their buyers and buyers either disappear or cancel the order.

This is dangerous. What if that customer doesn't place an order?

That will be no problem. I bought a Smartband here in China 3 years ago (only 5 or 6 dollars), which I then tested for my customer. I then included this amount + 20% in the order price.
