Why would you pay for your own order? That buyer is trying to scam you. Kindly report that buyer immediately.

Avoid sharing your personal, bank and card details to anyone on Fiverr as it's not allowed.

I received similar messages, but I don't know if it is a scam or not because I got a confirm order email from fiverr.
Buyer sent me this picture

Yes it's definitely fake. Fiverr doesn't send "confirm order" messages (only people who joined seller plus and selected the "request to order" option might need something like that). You probably just got a notification of the buyer's message sent to you by Fiverr (unless you gave someone on Fiverr your email address, which isn't allowed).

If you think about it logically, there's no reason why Fiverr would want to ask the buyer to ask you what your email address was to make a purchase.

1) Fiverr already have your email address

2) Fiverr don't want any off-site communication so they wouldn't want you to give your email address to a buyer in the inbox (it says not to at the top of the Fiverr inbox page and the Terms of Service says off-site contact isn't allowed).

They've also cropped the image so you can't even see what they're pretending to buy. That's because they'll likely send the same fake screenshot for each scam attempt.

Scam.
if you provide your email address you will then receive a number of fake emails that look like they are from Fiverr but are not. They will ask you to verify your card details to be paid. You will be asked to provide the scam website with your card details and some are even brazen enough to ask for your bank balance!
if you provide these details your card will be fraudulently used. If you have already done this. Block your cards asap.
if you were asked to login or provide any passwords as part of this then you need to change your passwords asap.

It's Scam.

I have got same pictures and since I was new and didn't know, I gave my mail. And after 2 such incidents fiverr blocked my account.
Fiverr is not at fault here as its written in there terms and conditions that you can't make deals outside fiverr. And seriously you shouldn't as what they do is ask your mail and then in inbox they will ask you for your whatsapp or something and tell you they'll pay on fiverr but once you take it on whatsapp or anywhere out of fiverr, Fiverr is not responsible for your payments. Those people then give you work and tell you to submit, saying they can only pay if the work was approved.

I got one and almost fell into the trap. This user sent me same picture and I gave my email. I have attached Pictures of how the incident went.IMG-20250114-WA0013.jpg.e9b2e02edf72579ea12149feafe85329.jpg

After I sent her my email that's the mail I got from her. And then stupidly I connected with her on WhatsApp.

I did lie about the 4 years but I needed that gig so...

That amount was suspicious so I decided to play along and see, If it's genuine that WoW! but it wasn't, so let's see what I did.

So then she sent me all the file and requirements.

The day ends there. Next Day

I told her I was done but in reality, I only edited like 4 pages and sent that as mail.

I would have sent the full document if they did 1 page payment.
IMG-20250114-WA0017.jpg.074c78bbcdd587091237409399e010f0.jpg

She stopped replying after that. So like any other sane person would I sent her an email.

Do you see how rude she was..., I wanted to spam her but I had other stuff to do.
The End.

I have just made my first gig today and I have already gotten 7 similar messages. I hope it stops soon, otherwise a legit customer might drown among the scammers.
