My Success Score dropped from 8 to 6 – Seeking Advice for Improvement

Question

Posted

Hello Fiverr!

I had a Success Score of 8, and then I worked on a project with a one-day delivery time. The client informed me that they needed a few days to get approval from their client before providing feedback. After this, the client went offline. I submitted a time extension request, but the delivery time expired the next day, marking the order as "Late Delivery."

Next day, the client extended the project deadline, and everything seemed back to normal. The client assured me that the project was excellent and asked me to submit it. I did so, but despite my repeated requests, the client didn’t mark the order as complete. Ultimately, the order was automatically marked as complete after three days.

The next day, my Success Score dropped from 8 to 7, and two days later, it fell further to 6.

I am now seeking advice from my seniors:

What steps should I take to improve my Success Score and avoid such situations in the future?

Please have a look at my gig stats. Why it's dropped 9 to 6?

Its impossible to ascertain precise reasons for the decline by 3 points but you can certainly focus on avoiding disagreements/arguments with buyers, cancellation requests, contacting support for conflicts with buyers etc and strive to earn more positive private reviews by providing wholesome buying experience to buyers!!

You also have a couple of bad public reviews, they must be hurting your profile big time on both metrics!!

It is not okay to pressurize a buyer to accept the delivery or share the public review. Requesting just once is enough.

Did you notice a decline in your "Effective Communication" metric??

It can backfire actually because most buyers don't fill it while Fiverr reminds them multiple times.

So if a buyer gets annoyed with additional reminders from seller and provides bad rating, then it will be counterproductive,

You are absolutely right. I am noting down these points. Please take a look at this image.

"Room for Growth" is a good sign and if you communicate well for the next few orders, this might turn into "positive impact".

I wanted to inquire if your recent orders were automatically marked as complete? Additionally, have you encountered any clients with limited budgets, resulting in reduced communication during the order process?
