I want to preface this by saying Fiverr is a good platform for you. Why? Because it has the most traffic out of every freelancing platform. I started working on Fiverr last year before the new leveling system was implemented. I liked the UI, and how easy it was to set up a gig. I got my first order in December, 3 months after creating my account and with a lot of effort, I was able to rank pretty high and get orders regularly. I was okay with Fiverr taking 20% of your total earnings but taking 20% from tips, too, felt kind of scummy. However, I still loved the website and the community. A few months later, they released the new leveling system and at first, I loved how pretty it looked, but as days went on, I started to realize my success score was dropping regardless of how many 5 star reviews I was getting. Out of 80 reviews, only 1 was 4.7 stars but still, my success score was 7. I searched the forums and only found vague answers from the Staff. I didn't mind it because it didn't affect me that much. Another few months later, I reached the level 1 milestone and I started getting 2x the amount of orders. I was happy at first but then the mob of "malicious" customers started to order from me. I was requested to do things that weren't even listed in my gig, but out of fear of getting a bad review, I pulled through. Every 2 out of every 4 clients accidentally gave 4.7 stars instead of 5 and they even apologized for it that's how I know it was accidental. It was devastating as a seller to see negative reviews and a decline in visibility because of the client's negligence. I received an order from a client who made an order but was too impatient and didn't adhere to the 2 day delivery time and wanted the finished product instantly. I explained the situation to CS and they canceled the order without affecting my completion rate. However, it affected the success score because it dropped down to 4 and I was going to lose level 1. I did a lot of more orders but most of them were accidentally 3.3 stars and 4.7 stars. My level dropped and suddenly, my impressions dropped from 500-1000 daily to 4-16. It's been 4 months now and only 2 of my old customers came back and gave 5 star reviews but it didn't help increase my success score. I have nothing against customer support. They helped 1 out of 10 times but that's still something. I just don't like how customers can accidentally destroy your account and make you poor. The "success score" is too vague and cannot be comprehended by anyone who doesn't work at Fiverr HQ. "Private Reviews" is also a bad feature because the client is happy when they're communicating with you. There's no way to learn anything from it and improve because you don't know who reviewed it privately and what critique they presented.

In conclusion, I leave you with this : If you're lucky, you'll make money. It'll be undervalued and you'll be overworked but you'll still make money.
