Question

Hi,

I am a new user on Fiverr and just launched my second gig today, but many people asking me to send them my e-mail address to complete their payments for my services.

I don't gave them my address because - as I know - is not necessary for making any transactions on Fiverr.

Please let me know if I am wrong,  or maybe not...

Thank You!

Hello @csaba_szatvari

No, you are not wrong. Requesting or providing email addresses, third party messaging applications, telephone numbers or any other personal contact details to communicate outside of Fiverr in order to circumvent or abuse the Fiverr messaging system or Fiverr platform is not permitted. Any necessary exchange of personal information required to continue a service may be exchanged within the Order Page. Fiverr does not provide protection for users who interact outside of the Site. All information and file exchanges must be performed exclusively on the Site. Any violation of Fiverr's Terms of Service, may result in a restriction or a permanent suspension of the account. For more information, please visit Fiverr's Terms of Service.

These types of messages are often sent to new sellers, and they are scams. New sellers may fall for them as they might not be fully aware of platform policies. Sharing your email or any other personal contact information is against Fiverr's Terms of Service and can result in your account being flagged or even banned. It's important to stay cautious and report such messages to Fiverr immediately.

I've also encountered this situation and there are more than 10 buyers who are doing this, I don't know what they are doing, and these buyers don't have any reviews and personal traces, they all signed up for Fiverr in the last few days, so I feel like they are all scammers, but seeing their information coming in all the time, it makes me feel annoying, I really hope that the platform will deal with them seriously and stop posting these contents.

Same thing. A lot of veird nicknames went to my messages, so that I would send them 'real email' or go to their tg channel. Anoying, wasted the whole day on them - there were a ton of them today. I think it's a new type of evil to scam and rob people, who don't have much money already - in our current economy.
