A video resume is a creative way to showcase your skills and personality. By adding a QR code to your traditional resume that links to a video, you offer recruiters a quick, interactive way to learn more about you. This modern touch can make your resume stand out and leave a memorable impression. What are your thoughts on incorporating QR codes for video resumes?

If you are applying to startups and small companies, that is fine. But this approach is the easiest way to get rejected if you are applying to big companies and MNCs.

Firstly, all applications are filtered by AI or other tools that search for specific keywords and structures in your resume. No HR manually reviews all resumes. Even if your resume gets through the initial filter, no HR would risk their device security by scanning a random QR code from a random candidate.

In the company I was working for, my HR was even rejecting candidates who attached zip files in Drive or Dropbox. HR was strictly instructed not to download anything or click on any links. So, forget about QR codes as they are never going to click on those.
