Why was I given a seller profile for it to be taken away with no reason given?

Question

Posted

I signed up, paid money for the kickstart, took a course on selling, spent time putting together my first gig, did the w9 paperwork, spent tons of time learning the system, how things work, etc.  I got approved to be a seller, posted a gig then hours later got an email stating I can’t be a seller and that I was rejected?!?!  I don’t get it!  I didn’t do anything wrong.  I can’t understand what happened.  I have onboarding zoom meetings scheduled for the next two days.  I spent all this time and energy and now I feel like I’ve been punched in the gut.

Can someone please give me a specific answer as to why this happened?

Hi Melissa, sorry to read this was the case with your Seller account. Sadly here on the Forum we have no insight into account-related issues and can't answer this for you, so please contact the Customer Support team and they'll look into this for you and let you know. Good luck 🍀

at first you have to see the competitors of Fiverr then choose a little competitor gig and publish it then you can make another gig. thank you.

Eh? That's not what the OP is asking.

Surely as a 'Fiverr gig description expert' with over 2200 orders you can give better advice than that?

Haven't other member(s) of staff been able to check into people's accounts and see what gigs were created (even if the gigs don't show publicly) and what caused the issues (or might have) and also the ability to see flags on accounts that the seller can't see, and also have the ability to check a seller's support tickets?

Hi @uk1000, since the user asked for a specific answer, they need to contact the CS team. It's about what we can share here, not what we can see, and our options are very limited when it comes to providing specific information. So, it's always best to point the users in the right direction right away.

I’m so sorry to hear this—it’s incredibly frustrating after all the effort, time, and money you’ve invested. It’s understandable to feel disheartened, but don’t give up just yet. Sometimes these decisions can be appealed or clarified. Reach out to their support team for an explanation and ask if there’s a way to resolve this. You’ve already done the hard work, and your determination will pay off in the right place. Stay strong—you’ve got this!

What do you mean by little competitor gigs? I will create a gig in the niche I understand and I can work on. Simple
