Does fiverr automatically withdraw money?

Hi,

I am a quite new seller on here. 

Yesterday, I sold a service, and after it was set to complete, the buyer sent me the following message and disappeared. ("XXX is not accepting messages at this time.")

"Hi it seems like you withdrawn the funds from card to your paypal? Its disappointing"

What does he mean by that?

I have set paypal as my paying method.

Isn't this the usual payment progress on fiverr?

Because as a seller, you shouldn't pay a dime to get work done for a buyer.
