Show the delivery clock on client's end & order delivery date compared to original deadline

Since "value of delivery" is a public and hidden metric in reviews, two ways Fiverr can help freelancers show that they went above and beyond by delivering early is to: 1) show original delivery deadline clock just like freelancers see on the order page, and 2) when we do deliver order, state when we delivered as well as what the original deadline was.

This would be especially helpful for buyers who are new to Fiverr to see.

Great ideas. Will they be implemented? Probably not, and that's a shame. Because people need to know when we delivered exactly, if it was much earlier, etc. I had a person tell me I delivered late, even if I sent the order 5 hours in advance. That's because they ended up seeing the delivery half a day after delivery and assumed that's when I delivered....

Eh, the "deliver early" metric is pretty meaningless, since I could easily game the system (if that were to be implemented) by simply increasing the deadline in all my offers, thereby always delivering early.

I could even tell the clients "this order says 5 days, but I'll deliver in 2, don't worry". That's what I already have to do for clients that want something in, say, 6 hours, since the minimum Fiverr allows is 24. Technically, then, all those orders are delivered "early" as far as the system knows - but they're actually not, the client is expecting it.

There should be no bonus for "delivering early". You should deliver by the deadline you agreed with the client, and that is perfect. Otherwise we are just in a rat race to the bottom, always after those "bonus points". When does it end? Delivering 2 days sooner is certainly better than 1 day sooner. What about 3 days sooner? What about delivering instantly? Surely can't beat that! Oh wait... there are spellcasters and mediums on the platform. They should be able to deliver before an order is even placed - they can tell the future, after all!

Being a professional should (and has to) be enough. And a professional delivers on time.

You already get a penalty for delivering late. Nothing else needed.

They have Metrics for almost everything. The next metric they will implement is when you change your socks.

Hello Thank you very much for your insights I'm very new to Fiverr I am wondering:

I changed my socks yesterday but this morning I forgot one sock, how will this affect my rating? Thank you dear

Your success score will drop below 4 (probably to level 3).

You're definitely doomed, should probably just turn off your computer now. You're for sure getting deranked and when you ask why Fiverr staff will copy paste this message. You're being affected by "additional quality metrics that aren't shared with you" which seem to be their go to response for everything.

Personally, I try to make a big deal of swift deliveries in the delivery notes, like you suggested, for example:

”great news – I was able to complete your order a little faster than I had originally planned”

or

”I was able to get to your order a little earlier than I anticipated, so I’m pleased to enclose your delivery earlier than I originally quoted”

It’s a good thing to highlight to people.

I do think it’s something Fiverr could help with though, because early deliveries reflect well on the platform as well as the freelancer. For example, when the buyer is notified of their delivery, it could say something like:

”Great news, [seller] just delivered your order two days early!”
