Refund from Fiverr processed to closed source payment such as a closed Paypal account.

A few months ago, I used PayPal from my UAE account to pay for an order on Fiverr. The order was later canceled, and I received a refund a few months after. During this period, I moved to another country, closed my UAE PayPal account, and opened a new one using the same email address.

However, Fiverr has a policy stating that refunds are only issued to the original payment source used at the time of placing the order, which was my closed UAE PayPal account. Unaware of this policy, I clicked the refund button, and the refund was processed immediately. Now, Fiverr is saying they can't reverse the refund request and that the amount will be sent to my closed account.

How can I retrieve the refund under these circumstances?

Only our Customer Support can assist regarding an issue like this. However, have you tried contacting PayPal? If the refund was sent to your closed PayPal account, PayPal may be able to either forward the refund to your new account or return the funds to us if they cannot be processed to the closed account.
