If you are a new seller, you probably dont know how order payments work on Fiverr, nor did I.

got a message inbox, saying "Hi, I'vе рaid, wаiting for уоur соnfirmаtion. : "a fiverr link"" - after opening the link, it shows a new fiverr page, and says to "get funds" since customer has paid for the service. It seems super real.

then later it takes you to stripe and asks you to verify your card details -- DO NOT DO ALL OF THIS. These are scams from people around the world.

I was saved because I had the spidey senses in me say "its a scam, its a scam." Please be on your toes when dealing with buyers.

Be alert, be safe.

Hi there, we highly recommend reading our Terms of Service and going through the Forum before you start using the platform, as that way you can learn and know how things actually work here, and it will help you avoid getting scammed in the future. Welcome to Fiverr and good luck 🍀

While this is true - it has been nearly a year since these spams have popped up and they continue to evolve. Even if a new seller reads the TOS it's really easy to confuse them when they have no idea how the site works just yet.

- We need quick-to-read, clear info about spam (and just in general about the selling / buying system. Newcomers on both sides are very confused quite often. This means that the current system with the TOS and help pages as the main resources isn't working.

- The scam has to stop. Just on here (and on say, reddit), you can see that several people are scammed daily. While they are at fault for being gullible, Fiverr needs to stop being such an easy platform to scam on. The bad reputation the platform has on some places (like trust pilot where now we are asked to leave reviews as well) is for a reason. Something needs to be done and the pressure shouldn't be on buyers/ sellers only.

PS.: I know it's not you who controls it and I know you can only pass info / suggestions to other teams so I don't mean to sound harsh on you but I fear that something changed in the last year on the platform that has made it more unstable (there's been so many bugs with the new systems) and easy to exploit for scammers. When it happens to this extent, the victims can't be the (only) ones blamed.
