Why Are Some Sellers Taking Forever to Deliver Files?

I have been scammed before on fiverr, so i dont want to approve anything until i have everything.

This seller has finished the task, but at the end, send me the same original file as mine, everything is in the same position, nothing has been altered.

Then i let him know, but i guess the seller, can't find the file or something and takes forever to send the file, logically, when he is finished, and let me knows that everything is done, this should not take forever.

This is probably my last order, if i dont receive the file today, i'll just cancel the order.

What sort of order was it? What did the seller say? 

I feel like there are a lot of things that could have happened here, depending on the context. Some sellers do pause the clock by delivering (which is against the rules) on purpose, but others might make mistakes (I've never done it personally, but it can happen.

What I've had happened before as well was that the buyer opened the wrong file. While I don't think this is the case here, I'd probably check it a few times to make sure you have the right files.

I'd try to keep cool, go with sellers who have a good reputation and hope for the best. Most people are good on here (they just cost quite a bit 😞 )

Since I am also a 3D artist and work in Blender, I thought to jump into the discussion.  

Firstly, I think you should consider that it’s the weekend, so the seller might be spending time elsewhere and not at their computer (unlike usual workdays). The seller should definitely be more transparent here and let you know exactly how much time it will take to resend the files -- but sometimes people struggle with communication and they just don't open their mouth transparently (due to being introverted or something else, I am not sure what to call it). 

Now, coming to the files: the seller might be right about forgetting to embed the files. In Blender, there are a lot of things to manage when exporting/preparing files. Sometimes we use a lot of modifiers and forget to apply them at the end.

So, maybe let’s wait until the seller responds or by Monday (of course, if that’s possible for you).

It is a .blend file (bust sculpt on an existing mesh), and i have download the file 5 times, comparing it with the original file, nothing has been altered, everything in the same exact position, looking at the logical side, this should be an easy task to send the finished work. Just instantly gives me red flags, also was not cheap.

Seller responded that the forgot to pack the files (after 7 hours), right after i posted this, so i'll just give him 1 day to sort this issue out. My venting come, after i was scammed here, same issue, seller was unable to do a task so simple as locating the file and hitting send.

Like you said, i'll just keep my cool, and wait 1 day.

I definitely understand being worried once you've been scammed. 

To vouch for the seller a bit - not everyone works full time on here. There are days I leave my laptop behind fully, so if something like this were to happen to me personally, there's a chance the buyer would need to wait a bit (since at least in my case I store my files on my laptop. If I'm going out or travelling for 1-2 days max. I might not have it on me.)

But...

It is possible also that the seller was buying time, or that they hoped you wouldn't notice not much has changed. I'd likely wait a bit (the day you said or a little bit more) but made sure to request a revision so the order doesn't complete on its own! Sometimes bad timing can cause delays, though this definitely sounds a bit suspicious. I do hope you'll get your file!
