How long can an order stay In Revision? (I'm the buyer)

Question

Posted (edited)

I'm working with someone who I deem to be very shady after my interactions.  My order is still In Revision, so I'm wondering how long can an order stay in that state?  (BTW I tried to cancel and the seller cancelled my request to cancel.)

It can stay in revision mode forever. So there's no specific deadline. Obviously, the seller should revise as quickly as possible. While it's not confirmed, they will get penalized and their success score should be lowered if he took a lot of time to re-deliver.

If you're saying he is shady... just try to send a cancellation again, say you won't be using any of his deliverables and that you want to cancel. Alternatively, if the seller still continues to be shady and he doesn't accept the cancellation, go to customer support and tell them you want to cancel the order. Explain the situation and they should be able to cancel it for you. I know Fiverr does have an option for buyers to rate a seller even if the order is canceled, if the order was delivered, but I don't know if that's the case with orders canceled by customer support. Regardless of that last part, you obviously have the right to cancel the order, especailly if he is shady. You could give them the benefit of the doubt and ask when they can deliver, etc. But there is also the option to just go to customer support and let them know you want a refund.

Thanks.  At worse I can close my account too end it.  This is all starting to be too much trouble than its worth and this was my first experience with Fiverr.

The problem is that a refund will go to your Fiverr account, not to your original payment source. So.. You will have to spend the refunded money on the platform. And if you close your account, that means you pretty much waste your money.
