Well, we're right to be paranoid. We've been sent all types of viruses and malware through our inbox as attachments or links—even by buyer accounts. So don't expect people to click on links or download files just for the fun of it.

God forbid if one fine day OP has to go through the unfortunate experience with his account (after downloading some random files), then he might remember the advice.

Its all fun n jokes till then.... 🫠

If you've checked the real file size somewhere (eg. on a pc) not just what that phone was saying (where before it told you a lower amount than the file really was) then you could send the 46 MB one, if it's really that size.

I doubt sending it at 1920x1080 will help though. If Fiverr is going to store it at 1280x720 it might be just as good to upload it at that resolution (1280x720) but you could experiment. It should be good at 1920x1080 though. Whether you send it at 1920x1080 or 4K, Fiverr's probably going to reduce it to 1280x720. If you did the scaling yourself then you'd be able to check how that looked before uploading it. But either should be fine (1920x1080 or 1280x720).

Good Morning OP,
It’s great to see your friends worried for the security of your system and I genuinely appreciate their kind concerns for you and their VIGILANCE. You got great instincts to read the intentions of the people around, so blessed you are, what do they call you OP I believe ❤️🙏

I believe your friends are still in learning stage to attain that puberty. My good wishes for them 🤞, seems they are still learning to distinguish between what’s just for fun and what’s done with real intent. Wish them quick understanding! They don’t expect that coming from a Newbie who is trying to be a freelancer in his part times.

I would love to teach them “Balasna” a Yin Yoga Pose if they ever join my class, excellent for boosting focus, to improve concentration, helps to bring mind to ease especially better perceive what’s happening around them.

Coming back to where we left, I’m still typing from tiny key pad on my cell for I don’t carry my laptop all the time to bring it to my home . I’ll be reaching my office in couple of hours to open it and check the things you have mentioned above with so much love and care .

I will write you back the things you inquired about.

Wish you and your friends a great day ahead 🌹

OP in forums means Original Poster (the first person who has posted in a thread) or can mean Original Post.

It's right to be suspicious of attached files on the forum though and and Fiverr as there have been some forum users posting malicious looking .exe files and trying to post bad code into the forums. And people can send lots of files through the Fiverr inbox and just one bad file can cause a machine to get infected with a virus/malware (that could lead to people taking money out of the account or doing other things they want with someone's account/device). So there is a risk.

Thanks for the light on OP and Malware.

You were right about the file size fears for what was showing to be 29 MB in my cell is actually 49 at my PC.

And I’m actually further planning to also add subtitles to this video though not sure how much more it further adds up to the over all file size.

If you're overlaying the subtitles on the video (burnt in subtitles) then it shouldn't really increase the file size if you're rendering it and setting a target bitrate. It will try and stick to that target bitrate so it should be roughly the same bitrate/file size.

Adding subtitles through Capcut on my cell and here is the size of file after adding those.IMG_1954.png.a0db58a1dccf71518a13f68f38399176.png

I also managed to drop the resolutions to 720 as per your recommendations and the size becomes 23MB something  that’s what it’s showing on my cell. Let me see how it goes in my PC

Should I ?

You could do.

With the subtitles it says things like "this one is Padma Asana Lotus Pose", "It's also called". There's no punctuation separating "Padama Asana" from "Lotus Pose" to make them seem different names even though you pause between them when saying it. Like it could say "This one is Padma Asana" then put a comma or full stop (whichever is most accurate) then "Lotus Pose it's also called".

around 16 secs in it says "...from basic to advance". Should that be "...from basic to advanced"?

You could add a bit more punctuation if you wanted, like when asking a question put a question mark, but it's probably okay as it is.

It's a bit unusual that it zooms in every line of the subtitles but it could be okay.

Great observation 👌 These were auto generated subtitles though I did some changes to them as well. It’s actually Padmasana, Padma means Lotus Flower in Sanskrit language and attributed to nobleness and purity. It’s a meditational, foundational pose .

Capcut always renders the files in .MOV extension while exporting and I have to convert it again to MP4, H264 formate. Don’t want to go through that process once again if I bring changes to subtitles.
Let it go as it is as intro and I’ll do more in-depth things later to replace it 😅❤️🙏

Guess what !?

MP4, AVI and even MOV extensions are acceptable to FIVERR and the size up to 5GB is fine with them 😅

Not getting uploaded from my cell, think there is some error and down here is the message I get once I try to upload it IMG_1968.png.6e2a959bb4f5a96bd87c2febbe72a77f.png

Will try to do it from my laptop.

Let’s see what comes up next from there.

Maybe they don't accept the intro video uploads from cells for Secuity reasons, you know those malicious malwares we talked about earlier.

Easily able to manage it from my pc first attempt.

Its pending with them for now, last time they took four days to decline it. Lets see how long they take this time D):

@uk1000

Got a question!

What I have learnt through this handy and highly informative thread dialogue here with you,, I learnt that images i.e JPEG, TIFF put into this typing editor and inserted into the post don’t require any download by the viewer  but the video files like MOV, MP4, AVI  definitely require that.
My question is if a video file is brought down into the size limits of an image through compressions of course compromising on its resolution and put in here would it still require a download or it’ll be readily available for the viewers to watch?

And what’s the limit of files in size ?

I’m asking this after reading about viewers’  genuine fears of unknowingly encountering viruses and malware in infected files which could destroy their system and steal any important information.

Please share a link to any relevant thread discussing file size limits, as I’d like to explore this topic further for my own research and understanding if convenient and if it exists already somewhere in forums.

Like I said, I don't know why 1 person said he wasn't able to view video you created in the meme thread.

For attaching files to a post, it says "Drag files here to attach or choose files". Only if you just attached them (without inserting them into the post itself) would it make the person need to download the files to view them as far as I know (if their system is capable of playing it okay).

If you use the option in the attachment section where it says something like "insert into post" then it should put that attachment into the post at the place the cursor is, like you've done in this thread. So anyone viewing this thread should (in theory) be able to play that back just by pressing the play button (as long as their device and browser supports it and their internet connection can easily support the bandwidth/file size). For why 1 person wasn't able to view it you could ask him more about what it showed him, what device he was trying to play it back on etc.

For file size limits on the forum - in this thread it mentioned a 48.83 MB limit for attachments. There shouldn't be a specific file size that everyone can play back, but maybe whether they can play it back through the browser depends on the browser they are using, browser settings (eg. that they'r not blocking anything in their browser settings), their device, what GPU they have (if any), internet connection speed, the codec and file type (and whether the device can decode it) etc.

Great elaboration and comprehensive reply, clearing almost everything vague in my mind. Most of the time I’m keying in the stuff through that “Add Files” tab down here in this editor window from my mobil camera roll including the images and video files I put into the posts. I do almost all my edits to the files through the apps in my cell. Adding files here, once it uploads pops up the “insert” button next to them on the right to be clicked and import those into the post.
Now what I understand from the discussion above is that if I don’t insert those into the post once the upload is complete only then viewers have to download them for it stays there as attachment always need to be downloaded for viewing while once those get “inserted” into the post and a play button pops up ( which I see all the times on my end) means they are readily available to watch without any download or hassle of scanning to check any malicious thing .

No need to ask that person for why he couldn’t watch it, there is something called “teasing”! and honestly I didn’t believe that person when he said so to take that with a pinch of salt and that’s why I didn’t inquire it right there in that meme post. It was a .MOV extension file easily viewable in any browser.

Yes, I understand that cursor placement concept while uploading those and yes I see that 48.83 limit all the time.

Please confirm I understood it correctly and thanks in anticipation for the light. 🌹

@uk1000

Thank you very much for all that help and light you sent my way in anticipation 💕❤️🙏😉

The intro video we worked upon is live and honestly I wasn’t expecting that result at all 😅 for it was the same video that got declined a few days back. Not much change except for those subtitles and a reduction in its size. And yes,  was a MOV file before converted to MP4, H264 this time. The thing that made me skeptical for approval was knowing that they  accept even MOV files and a video up to 5GB was fine for them.
A 5G size for a 60 sec video 🤔 Does that make any sense by the way ? How much GBs can you maximum come up with in such a short time with the highest resolution ?

I wonder what’s the criteria they judge ? Declining once and accepting the same! Even the last video met are their demands, just why would they drop it, though I’m happy with the happenings making it better in your sweet company.

Probably as least partly things they talk about in their help page for gig videos.

Like the "dos and don'ts" in this page: https://help.fiverr.com/hc/en-us/articles/360010451657-Adding-a-video-to-your-Gig

That page says to have it less than 50 MB but your other page showed a higher limit. Maybe one is out of date or it depends whether you're using the mobile app to upload or not.

You could ask them the exact reason why the first one was denied if you want to be sure, by creating a support ticket: https://www.fiverr.com/support_tickets/
