I just enrolled two days ago and got my first paid gig but fiverr cant send me payment? Why?

Question

Posted

Is anyone else having issues getting paid.  I got a client from france paying in euros and im from canada.  They sent me a payment in euros and for some reason my cibc visa isnt accepted by fiverr's system and they cant send it to paypal either for some reason.  My customer cant get what they ordered because fiverr's payment system is flawed. Is anyone else having issues Im brand new so i dont really know what to do.

This smells like a scam.

Did the client send you a screenshot that they are trying to pay but need your email address? And after that, did the system try and 'verify' your card?

If so, that's a fake order.

support could not help they told me to use someone else's bank account or i needed to have a minimum of 500 dollars in my account or because of fraud they dont use paypal anymore.  Its only been two days and ive run into more problems here than any platform ive used

You're getting SCAMMED!! That's NOT how it works on Fiverr.

Please familiarise yourself with Fiverr's processes and functioning. And that support window which is asking you for $500 balance is NOT Fiverr support. Fiverr does not have chat bot support.

Report and block the account you're communicating with.

Even if they repeatedly tried to get the order to go through they had tried to purchase my services more than once and my bank alwaysd makes me verify how do you know they are fake?

Do you have proof of this?

It's a pretty common scam.

Fiverr doesn't ask for your details like this. Especially not through a buyer!

If they've sent you screenshots of "trying" and you got no actual message from Fiverr itself AND their 'support' is trying to get you to link a card with more money on it....

I really think you're being scammed.

That's because they are trying to steal from you.

You're running into issues because you are being lied to by some scammers.

Fiverr uses PayPal still. How do I know? I used it yesterday just fine.

It looks like a scam, I am not sure, but as far as I know, clients can easily pay with their valid credit cards.
but You may talk with Fiverr customer support for better solution
