This part was not favorite but hmm. they talked about engaging with clients by asking questions, like how their kid's birthday or their spouse’s events went. etc While that’s great, I was thinking it might be better to keep things lighter, like asking about the weather or any fun plans coming up, instead of diving into personal topics. 30
olajuwon3276 Posted October 18 Posted October 18 I was around for 80% of the summit. I felt blessed by what I learnt and heard. A call for us all to embrace AI and not be scared it's gonna send us out of business. Terry Rice is a great host and Jamie Brindle to give closing talks was a #bang. However, I didn't get the names of the two ladies that spoke about transitioning between 9-5 to freelance journey. Would appreciate if someone can assist with that 30

Great point! I believe there should be a progression. When first getting to know your client, perhaps keeping the conversation light is better. In your follow-up meetings, you can start to get more personal and ask them for updates about the information they shared in previous meetings. 26

Yeah, and from a personal point of view, a few of my clients have asked me like one client from Holland, TD Sportswear (a very popular brand), asked me to handle their exports, like placing orders from my country and checking prices, etc (not personal, but outside my usual work) Another client from Germany asked me to teach him which was very cool, and one from Bangkok well, I kind of invited myself to that one! 🙂. It was fun. I'm a bit of an introvert, so I'm not going anywhere 🙂 20 1
