Success Score question / Concern

So this gig here use to be my main gig. About 3 years ago I decided to start fresh and modernize with a new gig as a clean slate but this gig still occasionally will get an order. What I'm wondering is that it's a 5 star gig with literal perfect metrics and somehow it's a 4 success score which is the lowest score I've seen on the entire Fiverr platform.

Why does it have one of the lowest scores on the platform you ask? Good question, when I go to find what is bringing the score down I see this "There are no specific areas significantly impacting your Gig's score". The gig hasn't had a single non 5 star review in the 2 year period and any metric I do have to use for a rating is a perfect score.

What on earth could be dragging this gig so far down that even with perfect metrics it has literally the worst rank I've seen on Fiverr. The only thing someone could suggest is a bad private review right? Well for the last 14 months the only orders that gig has gotten was repeat buyers who love my work and working with me in general. I doubt these people would keep using me, giving me a 5 star rating, and tipping just to turn around and leave me a bad negative review.

Does anyone have any thoughts or insights about what could be going on?

Cancellation history of gig might still have some lingering effect along a couple of 1-2 star ratings in the last 2-3 years.

The 2-year duration has higher weightage but system doesn't discard old cancellations and reviews, it takes them into account too.

And volume of orders also matters - this gig might have had a proportionately higher volume of orders till 2022, compared to 2022-24.

I have mentioned it a few times in other discussions also that our human mind tends to look at things as 'something Linear', to make sense of them.

But this 'success core' is definitely like a puppet whose strings get pulled from various directions with different forces. We can/might fix a string or two but multiple other strings still control and project it.

So I can check cancellations, it looks like I have 2 in the last 2 years for that gig. They're both over a year and a half old as well. I'm sure it plays a role but I doubt it would cause the 4 success score, also if cancellations were a large issue than shouldn't it list that as something impacting the gig's score? That's the crazy thing here is that if there is an aspect I lacked in causing this 4 rating they don't list it. The fact that I could have the lowest score I've seen ever on Fiverr and it doesn't even list a single negative thing impacting the gig and it has perfect public metrics. The 4 just doesn't make sense in any type of common sense system.

changed 2-3 into 2 (I checked it was only 2)

It's a mystery to me how the success score works. It seems like almost every second seller is affected by it. I’m not sure how the AI behind these metrics operates, but it definitely leaves a lot of us puzzled.

Yeah I can't figure out how any of this works either. None of my gigs make sense logically.

Is it confirmed that it takes 2 years into account?

I believe 2 years of data was the information we were given when they discussed us transferring to the new level system. As far as I know that info hasn't changed.

If one of your customers marks the order as completed while leaving no review, it can go down as well.

Especially, if you have just a few orders within the last 2 years (I have a feeling that this "opportunity window" has been silently changed to something much shorter, like 90 days).

I went from 10 to 8 with just one order from a returning customer (he has already placed a new order), who prefers to close orders without leaving reviews because he's a game developer and he has hundreds of open orders at once.

Is it fair? No, it's idiotic.

I had to ask him to leave an honest review this time, which I HATE TO DO because it's like begging for something that I don't need.

Sounds way too punishing for a system as important as these new levels are. Even losing 2 points is crazy but my gig is a 4, this is all obviously just speculation but losing 6 points to this would be insane. Losing 2 points to that is insane.

When he left the review did the score go back up?

I am still waiting for it since it happened 2 days ago.

There's another trick. The first order from a new buyer weighs more than all subsequent orders from returning buyers.

So, even if he leaves good feedback, it may be not enough to push it back.

It was updated today. It's still 8, but the red Customer Satisfaction indicator has disappeared.

Now, it says "Room for growth" on effective communication most probably because I forgot to post several long and useless messages on the order page this time.

This gif feels more appropiate.

I have also received the same issue that my score has dropped down to 6 from 7 even though I exceeded all of the other targets. I believe this is just a way for Fiverr to try and get you to pay for "Pro".

I physically can not do anything else. The AI model in my opinion does not seem to be working.

I am in the exact same situation with one of my gigs — it has more orders compared to my other gigs, all with 5-star public reviews, and consistently satisfied clients, some of whom are repeat buyers. Despite never having to cancel an order (nor have my clients), my rating still shows as a 4. Only Fiverr knows why
