Haven't had a good gig or even messages in months

I am a vocalist, of mostly rock, and I just got a message earlier today for some guy wanting me to do a demo to his chorus instrumental. Not much more than that but I did a quick easy take and asked him to pay $5 for the demo idea if he liked it, and then we'd discuss full vocals and all that after, completely honor system, and he said he didn't and went away. Good thing I didnt spend too much time there. That was my first bite in a long time. When I first started, I had plenty of inquiries and good sales. Now almost nothing. What gives? How can I find people again?

here no one is capable of finding you solution regarding why you are not finding any proper work.

how to find the solution is completely up to you, it can be gig optimization issue, communication issue or something else.

the most optimal solution would be seekout gig that are doing well in your category , by doing this you should get a proper idea about what are you missing.
