Hi everyone,
I recently heard about a situation where a buyer left a tip after a completed order but later asked for the tip to be refunded. While this doesn’t happen often, I’m curious to know how to handle such a situation professionally.

In the case I know of, two possible solutions were considered:

  1. The seller could cancel the original order and have the buyer place a new one (but this could negatively affect the seller’s profile).
  2. The seller could politely decline the request, but this feels a bit awkward and potentially unfriendly.

What would you recommend in a situation like this? Have you experienced anything similar, and if so, how did you handle it? I’d love to hear some advice from people who’ve dealt with this before!
