People with New accounts just asking for my previous work samples, Is this some kind of SCAM?

Recently getting messages from people ( they are usually new to platform, I can see recently created accounts) , asking for more and more of my past work, I sent few and asked to check my portfolio, they still asking the same, seems something fishy is going on here

It never happened before, and all my clients know what services I provide from thumbnails itself, some go through portfolio section, there's no need for asking for previous work for my Gigs, it's self explanatory
