Email Recovery Help

Hi all, first timer here and hoping to get some guidance.

A couple of years ago I had a freelancer list my business (citations) on 300 directories. The email login for each of the directories work for most of them but some do not and I need to change the login passwords.
However the freelancer is no longer on Fiverr and I can't get access to the outlook.com email account he set up to confirm the accounts for each of the directories. I tried to do a recovery but without prior knowledge of what was used to confirm the email address the process failed.  
Is there anyone who has ran across this and have a solution? I need to update my business information due to a name and website change. I cannot change the passwords to the directories without having access to the outlook.com email account.
