mpb0707 Posted November 4 Posted November 4 @paschalisblack Thankfully, this one was removed within a few hours. Thankfully, the CS team has been very prompt and polite when assisting me with these last few warnings. I completely agree that it is a terrifying situation to be in when there is no clear pattern or explanation provided for why we have been receiving these false positive warnings. I have been dreading checking my account each morning as I'm never sure when a new warning will pop up. When I received my 4th warning back in October of 2023, I had a similar situation to you in which it took several days of back and forth discussions with multiple members of the CS team to remedy the situation. That entire time, I was terrified that I would receive a second warning and lose my account. 7

attiya_social Posted November 12 Posted November 12 Hello everyone, I'm sharing an update on the feedback boosting warning I received on May 29, 2024. Although the 90-day warning period has passed, I recently re-contacted Fiverr Support seeking clarity. Fortunately, they provided the order number that triggered the warning. After reviewing the order details, inbox, and order messages, I identified two possible reasons for the false positive: 1. Client offered to leave a great review without my request. However, this message was sent after the warning was issued. 2. The order was automatically completed before the revision was made. I requested the client to put the order on revision while working on it, but they didn't. Despite providing detailed explanations, Fiverr Support Supervisor responded with the same message: my account was flagged for feedback violation. They told me they couldn't provide more information about the warning for security reasons. Ironically, the warning was issued before the client left a review. I'm extremely disappointed and frustrated by this unfair treatment. The uncertainty of receiving another unwarranted warning is unsettling. Any advice or similar experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Attiya 6 1
mpb0707 Posted November 14 Posted November 14 @attiya_social Thank you for providing this detailed breakdown of your experience. This makes me wonder if the false positives are more common among auto-completed orders. This could certainly be something for us to keep an eye on going forward. 6 1

Maybe not, because "feedback boosting" or if it says what it says in the first post, ie. "Your account has been flagged for purchasing or selling with the intent to falsely increase ratings and/or levels." then auto-completed orders are ones left where the person isn't in a hurry to leave a review or is less likely to leave a review. The ones it's probably more likely to flag for feedback boosting are ones where they do leave feedback/reviews (high rated ones) I think. Probably orders done quickly without much communication, and maybe more likely with unusual file sizes for the subcategory the gig is in/no delivery attachment. Edited November 14 by uk1000 7 1
mpb0707 Posted November 15 Posted November 15 @uk1000 Fair points, especially regarding the "orders done quickly without much communication." As a proofreader, I do occasionally receive orders that only require me to edit a single paragraph or even a few lines of text, so this very well could be what the system is flagging. In my experience, customer support takes care of these false warnings very quickly and does not go into which order caused the warning to be triggered. With that said, there were two cases in which I did receive that information from the CS team and both pertained to an order that didn't have a rating at all, which certainly complicates our ability to determine a cause/pattern. 4 1
attiya_social Posted November 18 Posted November 18 @mpb0707 @uk1000 Thank you for sharing your input. As far as I understand, there seems to be no particular reason for the warning it was only a system error. The only other possible reason could be the buyer's suspected behavior or activity. The order was automatically completed but there was sufficient and clear communication throughout on my end. The client did not leave a lengthy review, though they were pleased with the outcome and told me they would leave a great review without any request for it from my end. The warning was issued one day before the review was given. At the time of the warning, I was at level 2, and everything was going smoothly. Since the warning, my sales have gone down significantly. After taking all these points into account, I DO NOT FIND ANY PARTICULAR PHONEMENON BEHIND THIS WARNING. It is only bad luck or a system issue. I hope we will not face this issue in the future. 1 4
