Struggling to Get Clicks Despite Impressions? Need Advice!

Recommended Posts

I’m facing an issue with my Fiverr gig. Although I’m getting impressions, the clicks just aren’t coming through. I’ve been on Fiverr for a month, but this gig has been active for only a week. I’ve experimented with both simple and more engaging thumbnails, but the results are nearly the same. For example, a simple thumbnail got 3 clicks from 1.5k impressions, while an engaging one got 2 clicks from 700 impressions. I’m not sure what to do next. Any advice?

Impressions Dropped from 1500 to 5 with Zero Orders! What’s Happening?

I’m a new seller on Fiverr, and I launched my new gig two weeks ago. At first, I was getting decent impressions (around 1500), but over the past couple of days, they’ve drastically dropped to just 5 without any clear reason. I haven’t received any orders, and nothing significant has changed on my end. Does anyone know what could be causing this, or how I can improve the situation? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

New sellers get a temporary boost from Fiverr, making them appear in search results and get more impressions. For you, that boost is over. Now you have to earn your place in search results yourself.

Why Are Random Gig Images Performing Better Than My Well-Designed Ones?

I’m struggling to figure out how to create the best gig image. I’ve analyzed gig images in my category and followed best practices, like using less text, bold fonts, eye-catching colors, and clear face images. Even though I’m a web developer and not a graphic designer, I put my best effort into creating my gig images. I feel the gig images I’ve designed are equal to my competitors' images, and in some cases, even better.

However, despite following all the best practices, my gig images aren’t getting clicks or attracting buyers. Meanwhile, I’ve noticed some competitors using random images just text, tech stack logos, or other random elements that seem to perform much better.

Okay, I understand I’m a new seller, but that doesn’t justify getting zero clicks on 600 impressions. This has to mean there’s something wrong with my gig image. Should I start using random images too? What could be the reason my well-designed images aren’t working?

Your gig images are good, nothing wrong with them.

But Fiverr doesn't work in a STRAIGHT LINE like most new people think. Create a gig < optimize it < add eye-catchy gig images < where are MY ORDERS????

99.99% of people arrive with same approach expecting buyers to queue up. 🫠

Freelancing is NOT a sprint, its a Marathon!!

I understand, but I’m not talking about orders—at least clicks should be coming in. Everyone suggests changing your gig image if you’re not getting clicks. As you mentioned, the image is good, but I’ve been using it for over 3 weeks now without any clicks. In this situation, what should I do? Should I change the gig image? If so, how can I improve it further?

My gig disappeared from Fiverr search after 20 days. It had 5.2K impressions and 25 clicks, and it was ranking well for its keywords. Initially, it ranked on the 2nd page, then moved to the 5th page, and now it has disappeared completely.

Recently, I made slight changes to the gig title and a few keywords, but after the changes, it stayed on the 5th page for 3-4 days before disappearing. What’s strange is that the changes I made aren’t even showing in the gig performance graph. Any idea why this is happening or how I can fix it?

Impressions Dropping Across All Gigs – What’s Going Wrong?

I’m not sure if this is a common issue, but I’ve been experiencing a drastic drop in impressions across all my gigs. Previously, my gigs would get around 25-40 impressions daily, which gave me hope for getting orders. However, recently, my impressions have dropped significantly, some even reaching zero.

I understand that impressions fluctuate, but it’s strange that all my gigs are affected at the same time. I can understand if impressions drop for one gig, but why is it happening to all of them simultaneously? I created each gig at different times, targeting different keywords and categories, although the overall niche is web development.

Following seller tips, I’ve updated my gig titles, keywords, metadata, and categories based on thorough research. After making changes, I notice a brief improvement (around 25-40 impressions for a day or two), but after three days, they drop again to 15, 10, 2, or even 0.

I know I can’t keep changing things daily, and I should wait at least two weeks, but the real issue is: if my gigs aren’t getting impressions, how can I get any orders? The most frustrating part is that I haven’t even gotten my first order yet.

You have no reviews. Fiverr offered you a boost and exposure, but during that time you were supposed to sell something. It doesn't help that your gigs are very similar or identical to thousands others. So yeah, Fiverr gave you exposure for a while, like it does to all new gigs. But eventually, if you don't have sales and reviews, you'll not get more exposure and newer gigs will get that instead. That way, everything is fair.

Now, should I just wait for the order, or should I do something?

As a business owner, you have to figure that on your own, there are tons of competitors here and they won't tell you what to do, obviously 🙂
