New Payment Confirmation "fiverrconfirm.site"

Hi everyone,

I hope you are all well as you read this.

I would like to ask if anyone else has experienced this; a seller sent me a QR code (see attached image) via an image.

Upon scanning said QR code, it led me to a site with the URL: "fiverrconfirm.site", and was asking me to confirm a new payment system.

I did not continue as it sounded like a phishing scam of sorts because it was asking some bank/card details in order to confirm this supposed "new payment system."

What made it more suspicious was that the seller named thoughtlessirid had only been with Fiverr since this month (Aug 2024).

Can anyone confirm the authenticity of this, or were my suspicions correct that it is indeed a scam?

You are right. It is a scam.

Fiverr is not using QR codes.

These are fully fake websites that confuse sellers. Please report the buyer and inform this to support@fiverr.com
