Understanding Fiverr's New Account Creation Steps and Gig Publishing Options

aleena_animator

Question

Hi everyone,

I've noticed Fiverr's recent update when creating a new account, which now includes four different user categories: Side Hustler, Solo Freelancer, Agency Employee, and Agency Owner. I’m curious about the purpose behind these categories:

  1. Does the type of account selected affect the traffic, reach, or business opportunities available to each user?
  2. After account creation, do these categories lead to different account appearances or functionalities, similar to how a simple and Pro verified account look and operate differently?

Additionally, when publishing a gig, Fiverr now asks whether it’s your primary job and profession or outside your primary job and profession.

  • Does this choice influence gig ranking, traffic, or business potential in any way?

I’d love to hear your experiences and insights on how these options might impact our Fiverr journey. Your input would be incredibly helpful!

1. Since its a new update, no one can provide experience-based information about it.

2. Shouldn't we all create the accounts and gigs with utmost honesty depending on our skills & professional standing, instead of creating them with sole intent of clocking higher analytics??
