I'm a new seller, how come the only people contacting me are scammers? Is Fiverr dead?

Over the last 4 months I've had 8 people contact me, all 8 of them were scammers trying to get me to message them on Telegram, or create an Outlier account and give it to them.  I'm a photo editor and all of the messages are unrelated to my gig offer.  

 

Have I missed the boat with Fiverr?  Is it like Upwork where only the people who got in early are able to get work now?
