What do you do if a client doesn't show for consultation?

rsmithsec

Question

For the 2nd or 3rd time I have had yet another client order a gig for consulting services, and upon the time we scheduled to meet they have not appeared for the call.
How do you handle this? Does Fiverr have any policies discussing this sort of situation? In my solo work I would generally wait 15 minutes and charge a partial fee for no show or roll it into future work on a case-by-case basis.

Additionally, how do you handle scheduling calls? the Pro zoom feature only seems to allow immediate calls, which is convenient for on demand meetings, but obviously makes it confusing for future calls.
Currently, I send a calendar invite and then tell them to check the Fiverr chat at meeting time.

Hello rsmithsec! I've been just stood up by a consultation call client so I resorted to the Fiverr Forum and found your message -it's so sad to learn that you didn't get any replies to this issue! I just contacted the Support Team to ask what to do, but wanted to know whether other sellers had had the same experience and how did they manage it. My buyer has been especially vicious since they've been online on Fiverr all through the time of the consultation but not joining the meeting or replying to my messages -and as soon as I told them I could see they were online they got disconnected...! Anyway, if you don't mind I'd appreciate if you could tell me how did you manage the situation -and how it went out for you as a result.

Thank you! 🙂
