(this is mostly a silly rant, don't take me too seriously!)

But still! I've been told 'you might be the right fit' twice - and I was rejected both times! I was also not chosen when everyone and their mothers were made pro!
I know some of my gig images are silly (and I know that I don't have any specific education) but still! The majority of my professional career has been on here.

Oh well.

One interesting thing I've noted was that I - could  - reapply immediately... (which I normally wouldn't.)

When I tried applying the first time (as in, last week-ish) I couldn't add my skills, so I only had 1 thing tagged. I filled it in a bit better this time (still no social media though sadly.)

Do I think anything will change?

Nah.

But I do wish I wasn't given the hope every once in a while, only to be rejected.

(I'm fully aware that a lot of people got that email, but still.)

Rant over.

I'm going on vacation next week, so I can't be that grumpy 😄

Well, it's the same with TRS and Pro for me. It's sad to see that some people with under 100-200  sales are top rated, best sellers, whereas someone who sold thousands of gigs and has been here for years gets ignored. But hey, I'll just continue doing my thing, I am not as adamant to be a TRS as I once was. With fewer and fewer buyers on here, that's the least of my concerns. It would be great if it happened, so I hope both of our wishes come true.

Also, enjoy your vacation next week, I am waiting until August, although I should take a vacation sooner, since I am already broken down both physically and mentally.

I think the quality of your gigs is less important. Fiverr asked me to join the PRO Verified Sellers in February 2022. Back then my gig images were a lot less good than what they are now and I still got the PRO badge without any problem. Last year it became TRS with the same gig images. A while later I improved all my gig images and made them in the same style.

Yeah, I know (that was mostly a joke there... but my images ARE silly!)

I think part of it is the fact that I don't have social media OR an education since most of my work experience (related to writing) is actually on here... Based on what I was also told a few years back the fact that I have a lot of random gigs (not really random, but some doing really well some not at all) could also just make it not make sense to convert to a pro account if that makes sense. This might have changed since then, but I likely would have to give up some of my gigs.

(then again, that's just my theory. There could be other factors.)

What bothers me mostly is that I get the email, only to be refused - and it seems to happen every once in a while.

I've seen that as well - PRO I understand because I think some people do have the experience/etc. in the field to make it immediately, but TRS is a bit different.

I hope you'll make TRS!

I'm also mostly concerned about the way work has been so on and off here as well - it's either a LOT of work coming through or nothing at all for up to three weeks at a time. Since I've been sick a lot this year, the 'no work' periods have served me well physically but well, mentally is another topic.

If possible, just take a day or two off if you need it (but I know it's hard.)

I mean I was for 5 years, lost it due to stuff beyond my control health-wise, and never got it back. To be honest, I don't think it will make that much of a difference for me anyway sales-wise, and that's what matters in my case. I don't think that yellow badge matters in the eyes of a buyer that much, they just care about good work and the price not being huge 🙂

There's a few reasons why pro would be great for me (not necessarily a greed thing but some (upcoming), features would make my life a lot easier (well if I interpreted the emails right even.)

I think it's not the badge that matters ultimately for sure! If you're able to get a decent amount of orders (I have a hunch you deliver as many orders in a week as I do in several month) for the most part, it's still good!

TRS made a bit of a difference for me personally, but I think it partially came with me raising my prices and focusing more on game design and not just writing.

Who knows though!
