Why our reviews NOW also have the price range specified?

Yes, that's what many sellers complained about in 2018. No one has the right to disclose my earnings to anyone!

Probably enough turnover within Fiverr that the new developers didn't even know about this previous attempt to reveal earnings. I don't see a lot of retained institutional knowledge at work with this move.

So we don't need Seller Plus to get this insight? Cause we can simply go to the buyer profile, get the name of Sellers and check the order prices. In SP, it shows as $101-$500, while in the Seller profile it shows as $200-$400. So that's more meaningful than SP.

I went to your profile to see what the review section looked like and I don't see a price range or duration of order. It does show a gig next to the review with something like "from $120" but that's all. I'm going to keep checking mine to see if it shows up.

Although I think that is kind of weird, I can see it this way: If I were about to spend $2k on an audiobook, it would help me to see other reviews for higher cost orders as something like a guarantee that the person delivers good quality on lengthy work and not just short work like a childrens book. And vise-versa: the person doesn't just take pride in big, high cost orders and still takes smaller orders seriously enough to get good reviews. 

Is this something I would necessarily think to look for? no. But I guess I can see the utility.

What I see is that videos and images for non-visual gigs are back (at least for now). I hope it stays like that since their removal was something beyond understanding. (I don't see it on my main computer, but it can be seen on my laptop for now). 

They are not hidden somewhere deep in the gig anymore.

Well not everyone leaves reviews. A lot of people don't. So yeah, it might show for reviewed orders, but many orders are not reviewed.

Well, I don't see the problem with this feature existing. If someone has a longer delivery time like weeks, sure. I particularly liked the fact that it shows inconsistencies with the delivery times for orders and the actual timeline. There was someone that had a delivery time of 1 month and an order he had took 6 months to complete. Not sure if that's even allowed on Fiverr. Plus, we can see that info from buyers, I don't have a problem if buyers see that too. I don't have nothing to hide 🙂That being said, I don't care if it exists or if it left anyway.

Well. In my case, more than 50% are leaving reviews. So that's enough for me to get an idea about the buyers. 

PS: I cannot see order values on reviews at the moment. So I think Fiverr just removed that. 🫡

They've changed the price range shown on it too. Before it used to say "Up to $20" (for reviews on the profile anyway) and then another range for higher, now the same reviews on the gig page say "Up to $50".

Maybe they're being more general in it.

I just checked one of the gigs of the same profile I checked when the feature was rolled out. The price range says "up to $50" when it clearly stated "up to $20" back then...

It seems that being unethical when displaying the price range buyers paid for each of their orders wasn't enough, now it is also necessary to lie...

Well I can see why they want to do this. A lot of sellers have very expensive gigs, but they create custom offers with a lower amount for that older, just to acquire more reviews. I know just from checking various categories that some sellers were charging $5 one day and then in a few weeks I saw $50 or more. You also get an idea of how much word can the person do within an order, for example when it comes to articles, you can see if that person goes for larger orders or for smaller ones, and you'll know automatically they do bulk orders without even talking to them. 

I can see some downsides, but at the same time, what do you have to hide? You think people will start calculating exactly how much you earn? Who cares 🙂 If anything, I see this as more transparency. It's also funny that people want transparency when it comes to their success score, but when it comes to a price range for their orders, they are against it. LOL.

Honestly I see your point, and I deleted my other comments because really they are quite irrelevant if you look at it this way. I suppose my main issue was with Fiverr's sudden decisions that they have a history of enacting that often causes discourse amongst sellers. I can still see both ends of the spectrum, but I would have to say objectively you have a solid point here donnovan, and I agree with you there.

Thanks. Well think about it, they added reviews for canceled orders because buyers were unhappy, and they wanted to leave a bad review sometimes, however sellers were quick to share a refund and curate their reviews. 

So I think this situation is identical. If that feature does go through, it's because a lot of people try to lie to their customers, I don't think it's far fetched to think that some sellers would just pay someone else for a $5 order, and then make it a $100 gig, showing their great reviews and making people think it's worth it. I understand the downside and that legitimate sellers would not want to share their revenue range with others. I don't really care myself, if they add it, that gives you an idea of how much competitors charge on average, and if you should raise your prices. If anything, I find it to be informative.

This feature is unfair because it might lead sellers to avoid small projects to keep their prices higher.

For example, I have some clients with whom I’ve completed a large order, and they only need additional work for less than $30. This could make future clients think I’m charging more compared to my other clients, which is not true. The price really depends on the project requirements and the situation. Future clients may not understand that by viewing the statistics alone.

There are also clients who are very slow in providing feedback, which is totally understandable! For instance, one client asks for feedback after 4 to 5 days of delivery. Once I make the adjustments, I have to wait another 4 to 5 days for their feedback, during which they might change their mind and ask for few more adjustments, etc... I'm totally fine with that as I provide full support on all my orders, but this extends the delivery time and is definitely not the seller's fault.

I feel the reviewing system on Fiverr was better before this feature was implemented. I’m now reluctant to take on smaller projects for less than $30. I hope there will be a way to disable this feature so we can improve our sales..

I've sent a request to Fiverr customer support, and I think everyone should do the same so we can help improve the Fiverr platform to the best of our ability.

Seems both the duration and project amount still exists in reports and is there to stay.

Why can't there be a functionality for owner to switch this features from public to private or something similar?
