Sample sharing with client

Some buyer wants sample of content / task outcome. Then after sample sharing they said they like it very much  but then went away without giving order and stop communicating. I shared 5 Organic pages (without any copy and paste). It was very hard for me however I got nothing 

If the client shared that he did not like it and dont want to place an order then it might be ok. 

 

But initially client told me to write 3 fresh pages. Then add another 3 pages for an article.

 

Then went away.

 How I should handled that?

Unless buyer's requirement is very specific and order billing is reasonably big - I don't share work samples with any buyer. In such cases too, I decide whether I want to share a sample with them or not. And its a big NO from me, if someone demands a sample. There is no point in wasting time and providing literal proof of your professional competence every day to strangers. 

I simply ask them to check the gallery and portfolio, by providing direct links to gig and portfolio!!
