Question

Hello everyone! 😁

I'm reaching out to inquire about your experiences with Fiverr's new rating system and how much it bugs or feels unfair to you. I've been a member of Fiverr for about 3 months now, and things have been going relatively well. I've been receiving orders consistently, progressing from Level 0 to Level 1, and soon to Level 2. I've garnered nothing but positive reviews and feedback from my clients, with a Success Score of 8. However, suddenly and without any apparent reason, my Success Score plummeted to 7. I reached out to Fiverr for clarification but received no satisfactory explanation.

Despite continuing to deliver high-quality work with positive impact and feedback, my Success Score dropped again today, this time to 6. I've maintained an 8 all along, yet in just two weeks, I've dropped two levels without any negative impact. Fiverr's customer support seems unable to provide a reasonable explanation. It's evident that priority support for Fiverr Plus members is just another scheme to extract more money from us.

Has anyone else experienced similar issues? How does this new system, which Fiverr's customer support can't explain, work?

We work tirelessly to satisfy clients and build our portfolios, but Fiverr's system seems to work against us. Their system downgrades us seemingly out of nowhere. As a result, I'm receiving fewer inquiries and less visibility for my gigs. It's frustrating and demoralizing. I'm seriously considering leaving the platform altogether.

Please share your experiences. Have you encountered similar challenges? Is Fiverr becoming an unreliable platform for freelancers? I'm deeply confused and frustrated by these developments.:classic_sad:

If you go to your levels page when logged in (https://www.fiverr.com/seller/levels) and then click the success score there, it will show you each gig that it can show a score for, click any that have a score and it will tell you very roughly what impact each thing is having - maybe on the score.

eg. client satisfaction, delivery time, effective communication (whether it's positive, negative impact, strong positive impact etc.).

Some of those will be based on the buyers' private reviews.

This page has more detailed info on the success score: https://www.fiverr.com/cp/success-score-explained

though it seems to be more about giving tips for it than actually explaining in detail how it's calculated.

Though that page links to this which shows a bit more about how it's calculated:

I understand you; after all, every seller's experience has had its ups and downs, but three months is really not much time. I've been on Fiverr since 2018, and I am both Top Rated and a PRO, but I can assure you that I've worked really hard. As much as many wouldn't want to hear it (due to the lack of sleep), I've worked day and night. I've put in a lot of effort, and I'm sorry about your situation, but truly, three months is a short time. You need to dedicate yourself, despite the changes in algorithms, and give your best. Only after years can you truly reap the expected benefits. (As it should be, I believe, since it’s a highly meritocratic and competitive system).

I did not have any orders in the last 4 months. When the new system came I was 8, two days ago it changed to 7 and today it sent me a warning email that I am 6. So 2 drops in 48h.

So... in your case you have orders and they pushed you to 6 and I have zero orders and they push me to 6, it seems this is random lottery.
