A client is asking for email address for placing order.

The client writes:

"Hi

left you messages in regards to the Gig, I will design elegant seamless floral pattern:

Hey Abbas, I liked your service, but there was one problem when I try to buy your product, it requests your mail. I attach a screenshot from below, lооk аt thе screenshot, it says that I need уоur е-mаil аddrеss"   What should I do?

It's a scammer, not a legitimate buyer. Anyone can place an order on Fiverr without knowing the freelancer's email address. Not to mention that sharing personal contact information is strictly forbidden.

Tell them that you can't help them (or something like that; it's important to reply so your response rate doesn't suffer), then report them and block them.

It is better to block them without replying to their fake messages or to complain about them to Fiber Support because it is strictly prohibited to give any personal information directly to Fiverr.

Apparently, this is looking like a scammer. Moreover, you can check your order requirements also, it shouldn't ask for email sharing.

Note: On Fiverr, sharing of e-mail is only for specified access to provide certain service for which seller need access. For example, in Google looker studio dashboards, in which at the time of transferring ownership of the report, Seller needs buyer Gmail id and it will be only for the purpose of this particular ownership transfer nothing else.

It is a scam and I just fell for it. I lost all my money. As a new seller in Fiverr, this is not safe at all.

How to solve this issue.

 Recently, I attempted to complete the ID verification process as required, but it appears that the verification was not successful. As a result, my account has been restricted, and I am currently unable to access its full features.

How has Fiverr not done something about this? Surely some kind of AI/fuzzy sentence/word filter on newly created accounts that ask for seller's emails would protect sellers from this issue.

Yeah, had the exact same message. Looks fishy to me.

How do I even report the users sending me these messages? There doesn't seem to be any "report" UI anywhere to do it.

Report to fiverr support. They will take action.

Why is there not an easy report buyer button in the chats? I have just listed my first two gigs and already I am getting nothing but spam emails. its only been 2 hours and I have 4 spam message all different ways of getting email addresses, bank info etc. Fiverr should have an option on the side for sellers to easily flag an email as a phishing scam.
