Potential customer wants my email address.

Someone has asked for my email address because they want me to send them some samples of my work, I'm new to Fiverr and am unsure of why they would want to email me directly rather than go through Fiverr.

Requesting or providing Email addresses, Skype/IM usernames, telephone numbers or any other personal contact details to communicate outside of Fiverr in order to circumvent or abuse the Fiverr messaging system or Fiverr platform is not permitted.

Please do not share any personal information with others. If you do, Fiverr does not provide protection for users who interact outside of the Fiverr platform. Please take a minute to get familiar with Fiverr's Terms of Service.

there are other ways too to do, you can upload samples in your portfolio, or in Google Drive and put it in your gig description

Make sure to keep all the communication ON the platform itself. There are so many ways like the chat, the file attachments and even zoom meetings through fiverr.✅

I got something similar. A "potential customer" wanted my e-mail address in order to "purchase" my gig.
