TO THE ILLUSTRATORS AND DESIGNERS: How do you guys get new orders now days?

Hi! I'm a little bit curios how do you do when the platform had the amazing idea of take off the Buyer Request section? by that time I leave the web, cause I can't get to reach new people by the "Match sistem" (wich by the way NEVER sent me a single request of digital illustration wich is what I do) and I only maintain my regular and recurrent clients. Also I don't even now if the "match sistem" keeps working or theres a new one sisteme 

By now I probably had 3 or 4 new clients/works as much in the last year. I want to know how do you guys manage to keep working and get to new people without paying extras to the platform. I would really love to know you're experiences good or bad.

 

I won't take in consideration any comment like "Work harder" "Pay the extras to the platform" "Leave". Those type of meritocrat or any tipe of blaming comments cause thats not why im asking.
