This success score is pure insanity!!!  I have been working with my Plus rep for months and it bounces all over the place.  I have over over 200 orders from 127 unique clients and a nearly perfect 5-Star rating, 2 clients rated me 4-Stars.  That means 73 of those clients liked the work I do so much they came back again!  That is a better than 36% reorder rate!

I produce prototypes for people, I get told that revisions are a problem, cancellations are a problem ... you know what ... that is part of the PROTOTYPING business.  You deliver something to a client and they want a revision because they didn't think of something.  I do that kind of work for FREE it's included in the price I provide to my client so they know they will get what they want!  They are HAPPY with that service but Fiverr penalizes me for making my clients happy.

The AI is NOT Artificial Intelligence it is Actually Ignorant of my business.

Order cancellations, I have had 3, I told those clients I would try to do what they wanted and it couldn't be done.  All three of them told me they were happy that I at least tried when nobody else would.  Again, Fiverr's Actually Ignorant system thinks this is BAD.

I have gone from a 8 to a 4 in a week but it takes MONTHS to go from a 4 to a 5! INSANE!

Come on Fiverr!  I have nearly $30,000 in earnings through this system in less than 2 years and I would have much more if you would STOP the Actual Ignorance system of grading!

I have hundreds of thousands earned on this platform, For over a year I fought with the system trying to keep my TRS. In the past two months I went from an 8 to a 3, back up to a 9 and then back down to a 7.

It's 100% pointless to even worry about it, because I've only had 5 star positive reviews from repeat clients between from when I went from 3 to 9 to 7, not one negative review during that period.

I honestly think the system is built to keep you guessing, so you never know what to expect and you work even harder in the hopes that your arbitrary number doesn't fall... I did it for a year, the only explanation is it's manufactured urgency so you work harder and take more orders in the hopes to getting the score up.... and honestly, they are probably seeing huge returns on it, last year was one of my best years in a long time. But it's going to end, because now that my TRS is gone this month I've had 1 new client message me and they were a spammer from Turkey, overall my sales in January are down by about 80% over last year.

I'm really happy I planned for this contingency back in February and even before then because while it sad on Fiverr, this has been the best month of my career making book covers, so when one opportunity closes, more will present themselves. I really do hope for the sake of all on here, that Fiverr figures out their platform... it's not that difficult.... Heck, I've been on here since 2011 if they hired me I'd tell them exactly what is wrong.. lol

I think they had to reveal something about the inner workings of their system in order to comply with EU legislation that came into effect pretty much at the same time which addresses the issue of transparency in online marketplaces. But, they did it in a way that still didn't explain specifics about it or anything actionable we can do to improve how the various bots read or grade us, and determine our exposure.

So to clarify.  If someone leaves a "private review" the seller can't see any aspect of it yet it directly impacts their  Success Score?  Is there a way to get any of that information to improve or are completely held hostage by data you can't see?

This is exactly right as explained to me by my Fiverr+ rep!  You cannot see it or do anything about it but it has a dramatic effect on your score ... I was told that these actually carry higher weight than the public reviews.

@dponzio I apologize if I came across as having any contentious feelings towards you or your post.  I don't.  I appreciate you being in the conversation!

I cannot say the same thing to the @fiverr_brand.  What I have to say to Fiverr is this rating system SUCKS and it surprises me you do not have full-scale rebellion and emigration away from your platform.  Well, I guess it doesn't surprise me so much that you don't have a rebellion because you make it virtually impossible to provide feedback to YOU!

I find it hypocritical and frankly shameful that you are grading our performance with a poorly trained AI that fails by your own admission between 7 and 30% of the time and yet you refuse to allow the users of your platform to grade YOUR performance!  You are the quintessential example of RULES FOR THEE and NOT FOR ME.

Are you AFRAID of what we have to say to you or is it that you just DON'T CARE?!?!?!

It's no wonder the stock price has tanked from its peak back in 2021. That’s about when everything started to go downhill here.

At the end of the day, Fiverr is a middleman, but they’re trying to be so much more than that. The only thing they really need to do is create an open and transparent social marketplace for people to do business. A simple ranking system based on delivery time, client satisfaction, and services as described is all you need. A straightforward 1-5 star system, where client satisfaction ultimately takes priority... what is more important then if the client is happy?

Since 2011, the vast majority of changes to this site have just added more stats, numbers, ratings, and rules for freelancers it's become completely overbearing. Fiverr went from being a cool, quirky social marketplace I was proud to tell people I freelanced on, to something worse than a 9-to-5 job. At least with a 9-to-5, I didn’t have to stick to a rigid schedule where I had to answer every single spam message within 24 hours or get penalized. If someone orders by accident and wants to cancel? You get penalized. Imagine getting a glowing 5-star review from a client, only for them to secretly give you a 1-star rating in some hidden review system that impacts you even more... It’s ridiculous.

It’s all so tiresome, and all these systems and ratings they’ve implemented haven’t made anything easier for anyone on the site, especially freelancers. The amount of people I would have to help to just navigate the ordering system or the revisions system on the site was bonkers to me and it's only gotten more complex.

If Fiverr wants to improve, they should start by showing freelancers some love. Without us, there’s nothing for clients to buy, I feel like sooner or later they will feel this, they lost a VERY good designer with me and someone who was on the site for over 14 years.

Bravo - and a system that doesn't pit seller against seller like a freaking Mad Max movie

I think it's more like Hunger Games and the people running the show don't care about the players or the audience.
