I am based in UK, when creating a gig I keep defaulting to USD....

....when I change to GBP the page just keeps refreshing back to USD

Any help/advice?

All gigs seem to have their prices stored in USD (eg. if you notice none of them will show a price that isn't a whole number of USD which has to be divisible by 5). You can view prices in other currencies in some screens but when creating the gig it only lets you enter them in USD as far as I know. It's just how the site is set up.
