Why does fiver take so long to clear funds, But want us to finish the job on time?!

I want to know why Fiverr takes so long to “clear funds”? I know I am not the best seller by a long shot, but how is holding on to $4 gonna help us? I can finish a job quick and not get the funds for 3 weeks! But if you’re late on a job, there they are, right in your inbox with an urgent message. Man just pay me my $4 when I finish the job. Fiverr does’t wait to take the customers’ money or hesitate to take our money for buying a gig from a fellow seller!
