Gig modifications? We need more time!

I’m sure this has been said many times already, but IMO, if a buyer requests a gig to be modified, for whatever reason, I think us sellers should be allowed more time to complete the request. I completed a gig with 2 days left to go, and 2 HOURS before the gig was due to finish, he requested a modification. I was at work this particular day, so was unable to complete it in the time specified.

I think this is only fair as many of us sellers have other jobs and can’t always be at the back and call of buyers.

Opinions please? 🙂

if he requests modifications, you dont need to worry about time, even sometimes timer is ticking again. As there isnt any aditional time for modification.

I have one order sitting around for 2 months, still didnt got replied from buyer lol

I agree. I always try to deliver my gigs at least a day in advance so the buyer has time to review them and ask for modifications if needed. Usually, they wait until an hour before the gig is due officially and come back with a modification. If it is something that I cannot do right away, I have to end up cancelling the gig to avoid delivering late.

Hi everyone,

I am not really sure what the concern is here. I have been selling on fiverr four over 4 years. I have completed over 550 successful orders - with only 18 cancels. Yes this has happened to me many times. Sometimes, I have waited hours, days and even weeks for a buyer to respond and all this time the order is in late status. In all this time, I have never seen an adverse effect on my ratings for being in “Late Status”. I do realize that the buyer now has the option to cancel the order - but I have never had the happen either.

It’s not so much that there is a problem, but that it would be nice to add a modification or delayed response additional time element to gigs so the communication and tracking of time expectancy is clear. That’s all 🙂
