Gig NOT Ranking and drop in orders (Seller Level 2, 2+ years on Fiverr, previously Fiverr's Choice)

Dear all,

Hope everyone is doing good!

As the gig title reads, I am a seller level 2 and have a continuing cash advance. This is important because it shows that at some point Fiverr was taking my gig seriously. But in the latter half of this year, gig impressions started to fall because I wasn't very active on the platform. It is important to mention here that I was still doing 3/4 orders each month but I had to face order cancellations during this time. I think I lost around 3 orders to cancellations and that led to a subsequent fall in ratings.

But, after this rocky phase was past me, I kept working on a few (2/3 new orders) and continued to work with my old clients. Since the past 2 months all my orders have come from my old clients (I have a high repeat business score of 89). They have left good public ratings (5 stars), but I am not sure about the private ratings. But even then the gig has NOT ranked, impressions are down and since the past week, there have been no clicks. At this point, I really don't know what to do, any suggestions?

Your gig is likely still affected by the 2-star review you got 3 months back. That buyer probably gave you bad private feedback as well. Of course, the cancelations you mention don't help either.

And that review said late deliveries were fairly common, so those could possibly be a factor, too.

Yes, that can be the issue. A little more clarity on this so that the discussion ahead is more informed: the review in question was left by a repeat buyer and as you mentioned in the quoted text, it was left about 3 months back. In that case, does anyone have any idea how long this 'negative effect' of the review will last?

Also, on late deliveries: I don't think that's an issue because, in my time on Fiverr, I think only twice have I ever delivered an order late. But in any case, my question remains, with the latest positive reviews (from the past 2 months), around 4 repeat buyers and with 7 to 8 orders by them each month, how long will it take for my gig to recover? Or, will it ever recover 🙂

Thank you!
