Received Payment but No Review – What Should I Do?

Hello fellow freelancers,

I recently completed a project for a buyer on Fiverr, and they were kind enough to clear the payment promptly. However, I noticed that they didn't leave a review for the work delivered. While I'm grateful for the payment, I was looking forward to their feedback and a review to build my profile.

 

I understand that reviews play a crucial role in establishing credibility and trust on the platform. I take pride in my work and strive to provide the best service possible, and reviews from satisfied clients are a great way to showcase that.

 

I'm wondering how to approach this situation. Should I politely remind the buyer about leaving a review? Is there any etiquette or best practice for handling this situation without coming across as pushy or overly eager for feedback?

 

I'd appreciate any advice or experiences you can share. How have you dealt with similar situations in the past? Your insights would be valuable in navigating this part of our freelancing journey.

Buyers don't have to leave a review.

Fiverr already does that. Twice. If you message the buyer to ask them for a review, you risk annoying them, and getting reported, or getting a review you wouldn't like at all.

If a buyer doesn't leave a review, I do nothing. I simply move on.

Fiverr will remind them to leave a review. If they don't, let it go!

Not all buyers will leave review. I know it sucks especially if you're still new and you need to gather more reviews, but please do as others have said here. Don't ask or remind the buyer to leave a review. If they don't leave it now, they might do so when they have time. I have some buyers who left a review a couple of days after accepting the delivery. Just move on and focus on new orders.

I used to message buyers to remind them, but I have stopped as those who want to leave a review will do so.
