My seller account was not approved

cgi_ninja

Question

I was about to publish my first gig and all of a sudden I got a notification and email that my Fiverr account was not approved.

Big question Why?

I completed the information that need to be filled we making a seller account making it 100% profile completeness but I just don't get why it was not approved.

A Fiverr seller account may not be approved for various reasons, including:

  1. Incomplete or Inaccurate Information: If you provide incomplete or inaccurate information during the registration process, Fiverr may not be able to verify your identity, which can lead to the account not being approved.

  2. Violation of Fiverr's Terms of Service: If you have previously violated Fiverr's terms and conditions, such as engaging in fraudulent activities or providing services that are prohibited, your account may not be approved.

  3. Underage Users: Fiverr typically requires users to be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you're underage, your account may not be approved.

  4. Low-Quality or Inappropriate Services: If the services you offer do not meet Fiverr's quality standards or if they are in violation of their content guidelines (e.g., illegal, unethical, or inappropriate services), your account may not be approved.

  5. Multiple Accounts: Creating multiple accounts on Fiverr can result in the rejection of one or more accounts. Fiverr typically allows only one seller account per individual.

  6. Geographic Restrictions: Fiverr may have restrictions on accepting seller accounts from certain countries or regions due to legal or security reasons. If you are in such a location, your account may not be approved.

  7. Verification Issues: If Fiverr cannot verify your identity or the information you provided, your account approval may be delayed or denied.

To ensure your Fiverr seller account is approved, make sure to provide accurate information during the registration process, adhere to Fiverr's terms of service, and offer high-quality, legitimate services that comply with their guidelines. If your account is not approved, you can reach out to Fiverr's customer support for more information on the specific reasons for rejection and guidance on potential solutions.

Answer to all reasons are as under:

1. My Email and Cell phone was verified, however, no one asked for face recognition/ verification. So, not the fault of Seller.

2. I had just published my first gig and after that got the email that your account is not approved. That was quite a simple gig and there was no question in violation of Fiverr's terms and conditions. If such is the case, Fiverr should info same in the email. (I mean why it had to waste my time).

3. I inserted the DOB and if Fiver needs verification, they could have just asked. Even without saying please.

4. The account never even started so low or unethical services are out of question.

5. The email and Cell phone number I used was for the first time on Fiverr and that's guaranteed. Because cell number is purchased some 8 months back and email is just a year old. Never used on Fiverr earlier.

6. That could be the reason but why to accept registration in first place if that region is banned or not suitable for Fiverr.

7. Well, no verification issues are shared in any way by Fiverr.

The thing is:

- Account Creation

- Giving English Test

- Online course of Fiverr

- Data for Gig creation.

All such tasks consume time. And all this time is wasted when you receive the email that your account is not approved (without intimation of any reason) like YOU GOT SERVED....

Fiverr needs to rethink or rephrase their denial of freelancing platform approval for freelancers. The reason of SUCH denial must be shared.

We have examples of Nokia, Yahoo, and Kodak etc. Many may comment that their doom is proportional to the refusal to adept but they also believed that 'They are right and everyone else is wrong '.

Fiverr please Re-think

This response was respectful compared to mine, which is a common occurrence for me at this point. I was told I don't have the needed skillset or credentials to be on Fiverr at all and to go and try to improve myself, and maybe one day I might be worth considering as a seller on the site. Extremely laughably insulting, but I seem to always get very tailored insulting responses wherever I go. I must have really ruffled the god at the head of the IT world somehow. I have several certs and a degree with an IT company I have grown for 3 years, and I'm spoken to like a 5 year old who is playing around computer equipment while adults are talking.

The most weird and funny thing is done to me. I completed all the verification process and also submitted a Gig. Moving further I also received a job which I completed successfully. The client also approved my work and released my payment. Then suddenly I got a notification that my Seller Profile is not approved. This was not expected from Fiverr at all. If the profile was not approved yet! Then how could they let someone start doing a job. In my case, two persons are badly suffered and got disappointed, One is me (Seller) and Second is (Buyer). How could a seller going to trust Fiverr ever in future and How could a Buyer going to trust a Seller.
Kindly share your views on this, and if there is anyone who also faced similar kind of issue, please let me know!
