Account Disabled For "Fake Identity" and Unfairly Deleted Gig

Hey everyone,

Out of the blue, I got slapped with a ban! It think someone reported me for a "fake identity", and Fiverr just took their word for it. I'm in disbelief because everything I provided was 100% genuine. To make matters worse, they also flagged one of my gigs and it got deleted, even though there are tons of very, if not exactly similar ones still up and running. I've been trying to reach Fiverr's support, hoping to sort this out, but it's like talking to a wall. No response whatsoever.

Has anyone else been through this ordeal? I could really use some guidance... I’m feeling pretty lost and frustrated right now. Any advice or shared experiences would be a lifesaver.

Hey

did you get a straight up ban or is your account under review? I had a person messaging me about being interested in 1 of my gig but he wanted a 60% discount! So I just decided to report the message as spam and a day later I'm appearently am under review now. All my gigs been moved to "Denied" and I can't send any messages or receive any messages anymore. I'm in full panic mode right now. I read online they say they take up to 2-3 days to review but I also hear that it can take weeks! This is my lifelyhood here. Been on Fiverr for over a 2 years and had 0 warnings and always a 5.0-4.9 rating...

I hope you get your stuff figured out soon mate

It seems we’re in a similar boat. Yes, I believe my account is under review, not a straight-up ban. Interestingly, I also had an encounter where I reported someone, and then suddenly found myself in this situation. It’s almost as if, instead of reporting someone else, you unintentionally report yourself. I genuinely hope it’s just a review process that will be resolved quickly. Like you, Fiverr is a significant part of my livelihood, so I totally understand the panic and stress. Let’s hope for a speedy resolution for both of us.
