Looking for someone to do light, quick, web based work on a regular basis, how to?

Question

edit--after reading the rules here is a quick edit: If this needs to be posted somewhere else, I am find with that. First steps 🙂

Maybe I am being silly (I often am). I have a pretty stinkin' long ToDo list. Almost everything is fairly easy, bite sized, all can be done from anywhere in the world (but I only speak English and ChatGPT :D). How would I find someone to do 5-10 minutes of work, three times a week, on a fairly regular schedule? It is stuff like collecting news articles, collecting trending article names. A lot of things that are automatable, except that would almost definitely be against terms of service and the like.

I don't have a large budget at all for this to start, but I am not asking for free. Geez no. I like a good, positive, polite, and most of all truthful attitude, but not free.

No adult stuff, no answering captchas, no subverting anything. Just a couple bucks a week for easy web browsing, copy/pasting, summarizing with GPT, and noticing if there is something better that we could do.

Specifics:

I need to track certain news subjects, and I need them summarized and referenceable. An average 'work minute' is:

  • Search google news for a search term, like: Ransomware (that's actually the first one i'm studying)
  • Top news story from five news sources, copy/paste the title and link into a google doc. copy paste into chatgpt with the prompt: "Can you summarize this for me with specific details in at least three paragraphs: ", supply the content.
  • Copy/paste that into the google doc. so it reads something like, Title, Author, Date, Link, Content

Do that five times, three times a week. Likely with a rotating small list of search terms, maybe a small list of rotating news sources.

The goal of this? Honestly it is so *I can cite sources better*, give love to good authors, and make sure I really have a feel for specific parts of the tech industry.

Thoughts? Takes? Reply here or DM, and I have No Clue if I will get zero responses or a bajillion. If we work out a fair wage, I can commit to 12 weeks I think, and less than a half an hour, maybe forty five minutes, per week.

The main platform (FIverr) would be the ideal place to find someone for your project (instead of looking on the forums).

1. You can either create a request as "Brief". You just need to fill in some details, such as your profile details, budget, deadline, etc. and the Fiverr algorithm will suggest your brief to the sellers who are suitable for your project. Here's more information on how to create a Brief:

2. Or you can use the search bar to find the right person for your project.
