I hope you're all doing well. I wanted to discuss a concern I have regarding recent changes in Gig pricing standardization on Fiverr, particularly in the context of the "Session Musicians" category. While I understand the importance of maintaining a certain level of quality and consistency, I believe there are potential implications that we should address as a community.

The recent changes in Gig pricing have introduced a minimum price requirement and specific limitations for the Basic package in the Session Musicians category. Specifically, the change requires a minimum price of $10 for a maximum recording duration of 30 seconds in the Basic package.

Here are some concerns that I'd like to highlight:

1) Impact on Newer Session Musicians: The proposed minimum price and conditions could potentially limit the flexibility of newer session musicians, making it challenging for them to compete effectively, especially when they have fewer reviews.

2) Possible Client Deterrence: The new pricing structure might deter clients with limited budgets from using the platform, which could lead to a decline in overall sales and affect both sellers and Fiverr's reputation as a platform that caters to a diverse clientele.

3) Inconsistencies Between Packages: Another concern is the potential for inconsistencies in the Gig packages. For instance, the limitations imposed on the Basic package may appear incongruous when compared to higher-tier packages. This could confuse potential clients and affect the appeal of the Basic package. Forx example, while I have to stick to 10$ for 30sec recording, I could set the standard pack to 15$ for 500sec recording.

I believe it's essential to strike a balance between standardization and flexibility to ensure that both new and experienced session musicians can thrive on Fiverr while meeting the diverse needs of clients effectively.

I've just updated my gig with the new prices and now it's considerably more expensive. Since I'm relatively new and I've got just 3 reviews, I don't believe I'll be able to stand among those user with similar prices but much more reviews
