Seller account disapproved

yawarh

Question

Hello, I logged into Fiverr after quite some time hoping to get active again and sell my services.
But I got an email that my Seller profile could not be approved at this time.
No other reason or explanation was given.

I contacted support and they said exactly this 'Based on the available information that I could check, It appears that location inconsistencies were found in your account, which is why the system flagged your account as ineligible for selling.

I had given the access to my sister in another country (who is experienced with Fiverr) to check up on my gigs and overall profile.

and presumably because of that location change it got disapproved.

Does that/can that happen?

Also, if someone is travelling, will they disapprove again since location will be changed? Sounds bit odd to me.

What are my options?
Can I delete the account and make a new one under same name/email id/number?

Thank you

You can ask someone to check your gigs or your profile without allowing them to log in to your account. You could have just given them the public URL of your Fiverr profile and/or any gigs you wanted them to check (eg. if there were some on hold gigs that didn't show up on the profile but will show up with their public URL).

You could mention it to CS that you gave her access just to check but I don't know what they'll say/whether they'll accept it.

If you're going to be travelling while using Fiverr you could maybe check with CS first to see if there'd be any issues (and if they know in advance then that shouldn't be an issue, as long as it's not a restricted country). I assume it would depend on timings. eg. if you were logged in in country A and active then 5 minutes later there was a log in in your account in country B where you couldn't have travelled there in 5 mins then that would be suspicious for them. If it seemed like you travelled there in normal time then it wouldn't be so suspicious.

If they don't allow this account to become a seller then they probably won't allow another account of yours to become a seller. So you could try letting them know exactly what happened and seeing if they could allow you to become a seller with this account.

I think there are some people who do have both working in the same account but they probably got permission from Fiverr first (and wouldn't be having 2 people log in from 2 different countries).

Thanks i'll ask their CS again to see if I can create a new one.
and obviously this was because I was unaware that this would be the consequence of it.
thanks

You can't make new profile with this mail. Create a new mail fiverr account and give it a new name. Do not copy others gig description or profile. Just copy there idea to create gig.
