New here! I'm dipping my feet in the 5R water with a test gig.

Is it ok to give the address of the website I've been using for business? Or is that a no-no??

Hey superspots,

Welcome to the Fiverr community! 🎉 It's great to hear that you're getting started with your first gig. Sharing information about your business and expertise is a fantastic way to showcase your skills and build credibility with potential buyers.

However while it's tempting to share your website address to give buyers a more comprehensive view of your work, it's important to follow Fiverr's guidelines. Fiverr encourages all communication, transactions, and interactions to occur solely within the platform. This approach ensures the safety, transparency, and fairness that Fiverr strives to provide to its users.

As you create your gig, focus on creating a compelling description that highlights your skills, expertise, and how you can bring value to buyers specifically on Fiverr. This will help you stand out and attract potential buyers who are looking for your unique services through the platform.

Wishing you the best, Happy Freelancing!

If you mean in the gig description - Fiverr's gig policies page has a list of approved URLs. If you put another one in the gig description that isn't in that list then you might get your gig removed/get a warning.

@superspots For your account safety , avoid it. It is against Fiverrs TOS to communicate with buyers through media  other than Fiverr massages. In the event of trouble, it will be tricky for you to prove you haven't done it.
