Buyer put a much lenghty work on my least offered priced gig

Question

Posted

Hi All,

Please advise, a buyer just placed an order with a bit of a lengthy work on my least offered priced gig, the buyer didn't even message me for a discussion with the work. What's the best way to cancel the order without affecting the impression of the gig?

I've left a message, waiting for his response.

The only thing you can do here is to wait. Even you are going to initiate the delivery extension or cancellation request then the buyer has to approve it. In the worst case scenario if the delivery time is late, you can always reach out to customer support and ask them to fulfill your metrics as it was not your fault.

For the future:-

The very first thing you need to do is go to your Gig settings and set the minimum delivery time to three days (even in the basic tier). So, if someone places a direct order and doesn't respond, you can send a delivery extension and it will automatically be approved (if the buyer doesn't respond to it for two days). So, you will have more time to think and take action and this rush will not affect your other active orders.

If you cancel it now, as you get incomplete information, it does not affect your gig.

Ask CS to cancel it by providing the proof that the buyer does not contact you before putting an order, and buyer orders the wrong package.

Thanks for the precise answer, I will definitely apply the tips.
